Our people create successful organisations – I think we should look after them with good communications!
I’m based in South Wales, and work for Cardiff University in internal and change communications. I’ve worked in general communications roles for around 15 years, specialising in internal communications over the last seven years.
Internal communications is all about people, enabling communication between an organisation’s leadership team and their people, ensuring we all have a stake in the success of our business. I enjoy creating targeted content that produces measurable business benefits. This blog is some of my views and ponderings on internal communications and employee engagement, things I’m learning, things I’m thinking about… Obviously, all views are my own and don’t represent my employer.
I’m proud to be a member of the CIPR.
Outside of internal communications and work, I’m a busy mum to two energetic toddlers. I like reading, running, music (I play clarinet in Porthcawl Community Orchestra) and learning how to play roller derby (at the Tiger Bay Brawler’s ‘Learn to Skate’ sessions).
